Salad is a cold dish which mostly consists of raw vegetables seasoned with oil, vinegar, and other dressing often topped with egg, meat, fish, fruits, and nuts. It is a superb source of natural fiber along with vitamins, proteins, minerals, and antioxidants needed to keep you healthy. It is a good choice for a healthful diet because it does not contain cholesterol and is naturally low in calories and sodium. 

Salads are good for digestion

After consuming a heavy meal, we tend to feel super full and it is often accompanied by bloating. The best part about salad is that it never causes bloating. It is filling and keep the stomach full but does not make us feel lazy. Since salad is rich in fiber, it aids in the digestion of the food eaten before and helps to cleanse the digestive system.
